Week16-Flooded! (September 15-19)

DAGUPAN CITY, Sept. 18 (PIA) – Five Pangasinan towns weredeclared under calamity state days after Typhoon Luis dumped from heavy to intense rains submerging communities and agricultural lands in northern Luzon provinces. The towns of Calasiao, Sta. Barbara, Umingan, Laoac and San Manuel were declared under state of calamity due to high flood waters. Classes remain suspended in seven public schools and seven private schools until Thursday. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) said three people died of drowning while damages to agriculture and infrastructure were estimated at P290 million.

Week15JavaScript 2 (September 8-12)

        We are now in the second JavaScript and now, I realized that JavaScript is better than HTML. JavaScript uses dialog boxes to interact with the user. The dialog boxes are created with three methods:

  • alert()
  • prompt()
  • confirm()

Alert Box

        An alert box is often used if you want to make sure information comes through to the user. When an alert box pops up, the user will have to click "OK" to proceed.         http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_popup.asp

Prompt Box

       The prompt() method displays a dialog box that prompts the visitor for input. A prompt box is often used if you want the user to input a value before entering a page.

Note: When a prompt box pops up, the user will have to click either "OK" or "Cancel" to proceed after entering an input value. Do not overuse this method, as it prevent the user from accessing other parts of the page until the box is closed. The prompt() method returns the input value if the user clicks "OK". If the user clicks "cancel" the method returns null.

Confirm Box

       The confirm() method displays a dialog box with a specified message, along with an OK and a Cancel button. A confirm box is often used if you want the user to verify or accept something.

Note: The confirm box takes the focus away from the current window, and forces the browser to read the message. Do not overuse this method, as it prevent the user from accessing other parts of the page until the box is closed. The confirm() method returns true if the user clicked "OK", and false otherwise.

Week14-Expect the Unexpected (September 1-5)

Relax
Relax.. Relax
        We arranged our seats and guess what? It just 2 seats apart. And I think that there's something wrong. What's happening? Quiz? Surprise quiz? This can't be!!. Arggh. I hate this feeling. You will be taking an exam (quiz) but your mind dont have enough memory to catch up all the lessons. And worst, I'm not so much familiar in our topic. I admit that I'm not good in computer but I'm trying my best to learn. And soon, I will love it. Hehe. Back to the topic, I'm not yet ready to take it. But how am I going to do? Hmm... Result of the quiz is..... ?? Secret!. :) Dont mind it. :). This is a new lesson for me..
